An eco-friendly houseboat
Are you a boat lover? Do you dream of living on the seas while maintaining the comfort of home? And to top it all off, are you concerned about the environment? Then you will love this totally futuristic eco-friendly houseboat.
A futuristic and unusual project
Russian naval architect Max Zhivov designed this completely new type of boat which serves as a house, a dock for boats, a garage and an aquatic parking lot for seaplanes.
In addition to being able to float in any aquatic area, this boat of the future can be dismantled and can be transported using only 2 trucks.
An ultra modern houseboat
There are all the comforts of an average house: living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms and even a garage!
The second floor serves as storage for aquatic equipment but it can also be used as a tanning station. The net located at the bottom, next to the rudder, allows visitors to the boat to admire the underwater life.
Measuring 15 meters long and with a surface area of 76m², the boat is equipped with 65m² solar panels. In partnership with aircraft designer Alexander Shapin, Mark Zhivov decided to create a seaplane model equipped with electric motors, for a completely autonomous boat.
Small boats can also be stored there like on a real dock. This is actually the very heart of this crazy project: by dint of browsing the forums about the lack of water parking for extraordinary planes. The architect therefore decided to design this futuristic project to remedy this problem.
More and more eco-friendly maritime projects emerge, to counter environmental pollution. We can cite in particular the eco-friendly houseboat called Kayflow, a 16m long catamaran operating with 20m² of solar panels and two wind turbines.
